  • Replacement and custom PVC covers sold separately
What people use them for

Covered, open-span space for almost anything

No internal posts means you can drive in, stack high and use every square metre.

Hay & feed storage

Keep bales and supplementary feed dry through the wet season and cut spoilage.

Fertiliser, timber, materials and seasonal stock, with wide open ends for loaders.

Container shelters

Turn two containers into a covered workshop

A galvanised steel truss roof that bolts onto the top of your shipping containers. The containers become the walls and lockable storage; the roof covers the open space between them.

"20 ft" or "40 ft" is the container length the shelter is made for (about 6 m or 12 m); the span is the covered width between the two rows of containers. Prices include GST and cover the steel frame with a PVC 650 g/m² cover, collected from our yard. Containers, end walls, delivery and installation are extra. PVC 900 g/m² upgrade available. Round or peak roof, white, grey or green.

Covering a big area? Skip the containers.

Container shelters suit one or two bays. For long or wide buildings, every extra bay needs two more containers, and those aren't cheap. A freestanding truss building goes straight onto a slab or footings, with no containers to buy, and usually costs a lot less per square metre.

Do I need a building consent?

It depends on size, how long it stays up and where it goes. Small, temporary structures can be exempt. Most permanent large shelters need a consent, and we've been through it ourselves.

FAQ

Common questions

What sizes can you supply?

Most sizes are made to order. Tell us the width, length and height you need, plus what will go inside, and we'll recommend a frame that suits it.

Will it handle New Zealand wind?

Frames and anchoring are specified for your site's wind zone. For consented buildings, the design is checked by a New Zealand chartered engineer as part of the consent.

What base does it need?

A level, solid base: a concrete slab or footings, precast blocks, or shipping containers fixed to the ground. It should not be anchored straight into soft soil.

Can I buy just a replacement cover?

Yes. Send us the frame dimensions or the old cover's measurements and we'll quote a replacement or a custom-made PVC cover.

Can I install it myself?

Smaller shelters, yes, with basic tools. Large double truss buildings need a lifter, a crane or forklift and an experienced crew, and we can arrange one.

How long does delivery take?

Shelters are made to order and shipped to New Zealand. We confirm the lead time with each quote.

Where are the shelters made?

Our shelters are manufactured overseas by an established specialist factory to our specifications. We specify them for New Zealand conditions, help with consent, and supply and support them from here in New Zealand.
